  4.         The discussion of almost every aspect dealing with what
  5. we commonly refer to as "UFOs" is one full of controversy and
  6. emotion. While its not our intent to avoid controversy in the
  7. course of discussions, we do want to avoid unrestrained outpourings
  8. of emotion, especially the negative and obscene variety. It goes
  9. without saying that dialogue and discussion should be done in an
  10. atmosphere of respect and friendliness. If you disagree strongly
  11. with someone, then say so in an appropriate fashion. If you feel
  12. you have been unwrongly attacked or criticized by a person, then
  13. do not respond in kind unless you can do so in a proper manner.
  14. If you are in violent disagreement with another user, and can't
  15. act in a gentlemanly manner when speaking with them, then please
  16. refrain from addressing that individual.

  18.         Past experience has shown me that debate can degenerate
  19. very quickly when insults are traded back and forth, or when one
  20. person impugns the motives of another. Ad Hominen attacks, and
  21. other untoward actions should be avoided at all costs.
